tile manufacturer in Sri Lanka, LANKA WALLTILE PLC is a major contender
in the highly competitive international arena, supplying quality tiles to discerning
markets.
Lanka Walltile PLC was incorporated in 1975 as
an export oriented joint venture with Japanese collaboration. Commencing commercial
production in May 1977 the company executed its first export order in July of the same
year. In 1978, 92% of the total output was exported.
With
foresight and vision, we have for many years judiciously and systematically steered our
course, secure in our corporate philosophy of quality first, taking in charge and growing

The rapid growth of business both in the domestic and export markets led to the
commissioning of a second factory using state of the art Italian technology and
exclusively equipped with universally acclaimed  machinery. Our product quality and designs are second to none. We
have a capacity to produce three million square meters of tiles annually. Sri Lanka
has an abundance of raw materials for the production of our white bodied tile.
The company maintains an aggressive Research &
Development program to ensure that the tiles continue to meet the exacting and rigid
manufacturing standards of all international markets. |

"Lanka Walltiles" conform to British, European, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japanese
and American Standards. In 1997 Lanka Walltile PLC was awarded the ISO 9001 quality
system certification for design development and manufacture of ceramic glazed wall tiles.
A wide range of tiles in a
variety of colors, textures and sizes including special trim tiles, decorated tiles, hand
made and hand painted tiles are manufactured by the company today. |
