Lanka Walltile PLC was incorporated in 1975 as an export oriented joint venture with Japanese collaboration. Commencing commercial production in May 1977 the company executed its first export order in July of the same year. In 1978, 92% of the total output was exported. With foresight and vision, we have for many years judiciously and systematically steered our course, secure in our corporate philosophy of quality first, taking in charge and growing with the times.

The rapid growth of business both in the domestic and export markets led to the commissioning of a second factory using state of the art Italian technology and exclusively equipped with universally acclaimed machinery.  Our product quality and designs are second to none.  We have a capacity to produce three million square meters of tiles annually. Sri Lanka has an abundance of raw materials for the production of our white bodied tile. The company maintains an aggressive Research & Development program to ensure that the tiles continue to meet the exacting and rigid manufacturing standards of all international markets.

Our present export markets include Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Middle East, Maldives, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, USA, India and UK.
